The Faculty of Industrial, Mechanical and Maritime Engineering (FIMME) is a representative faculty of “Ovidius” University which has already won recognition as a prestigious research centre with its own place in Romanian science and technology. FIMME has 6 sections (Naval Equipment and Systems, Offshore Equipment and Technologies, Industrial Engineering, Welding Technologies, Energy Engineering, Automotive Engineering). The curriculum corresponds to the modern education requirements respectively to the national academic credentials criteria. There is also a local distance education centre for the Industrial Engineering and Automotive Engineering sections. The Faculty partnerships in European Projects stand for the evidence of its international recognition. Our record of achievement is the result of an outstanding student body combined with dedicated faculty members and their focus on teaching, research and professional mentorship. Our faculty members are receiving local and international recognitions for their research, publications and transfer of technologies.
